Hydration Hacks

During the day, keeping fluid levels is high as possible is very important. The more fluently fluid we are, the more likely it is that we can deal with challenges, handle stress and overcome problems. When we feel dehydrated, though, we run out of ideas quickly and can suffer from fast and continued frustration.

To help you avoid that problem, and to ensure that you can keep your mind fresh for the challenges ahead, hydration hacks can be very useful.

Finding time to drink the level of water that you need is tough, and handling the banal taste becomes a challenge after a few glasses. To help you get beyond that, here are some useful and easily actionable hydration hacks that you can rely upon to keep you feeling fit and fresh.

  • Start Fresh. In the morning, while you wait for the kettle to boil, get a nice big glass of water down your neck. A glass of water early in the morning sets you up for the day, and alongside with the water in your coffee that you make you will find it a little bit easier to keep topping up as the day goes by.

  • BYOB. The first tip that we have to offer in terms of hydration hacks is simply to always bring a bottle with you. buy a bottle that is easily sealed and re-usable, and bring it with you on a daily basis. The more water that you can bring with you to work, the more likely it is that you can avoid becoming dehydrated and losing mental agility.

  • Jazz it up. The best way to stop you growing sick of the tasteless nature of water, though, stems from adding some flavor into it. Throw a few lemon and lime slices in there for a nice citrus kick to the water. Or, throw in some berries to allow it to take on a sweeter, more enjoyable taste. This stops you from wanting something with a bit more flavor that is inevitably bad for you.

  • Eat more water based foods. Many foods are loaded with water in them, and this can make it easy for you to get both something to eat while hydrating yourself. For example, tomatoes, strawberries, spinach, peppers and cucumbers are all water-heavy foods that make wonderful, nutritious and enjoyable sources of water that also gives you a little snack. On your lunch break at work, concentrate on getting some more water into your system by eating it as much as anything else!

  • Get a straw. Get yourself a nice little straw, and you can stick that into the top of the bottle and suck away on that. Straws are much easier to drink from, and thus you should find it easier to take in larger quantities without even knowing about it. it’s going to make sure you take larger quantities in, rather than small sips. Make sure it’s a reusable straw!

Add Sea Salt. Put a little himalayan pink sea salt in your water to allow your body to properly absorb and distribute the water on a cellular level to your muscles, nervous system and organs. Sodium is an important electrolyte that is important to staying hydrated.

With this in mind, you should find it much easier to start drinking more water and to improve hydration levels, ergo boosting performance levels and overall ability to attack the day.
